Can Mi Utilities backdate charges?
Yes, in cases where meter readings were unavailable or estimated and a correction is needed. There is no fixed maximum period for backdated charges, but we will always notify you in advance before issuing a backdated bill covering an extended period. If you believe backdated amounts are incorrect, log in to the portal and raise a dispute.
How do I dispute a charge on my Mi Utilities bill?
Log in to the Mi Utilities portal at www.logicutilities.com, go to My Request → Other Requests → New Request, and describe the charge you are disputing. Our Billing team will investigate within 2 business days. Your account will not be referred to collections while a dispute is under active investigation. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can escalate to the RSB.
What are late payment fees?
A late payment fee is applied if your bill is not paid by the due date printed on your invoice. If a late fee was applied due to a payment allocation delay on our side — not because you paid late — the fee will be waived on confirmation of your timely payment. Keep your receipt as proof. To dispute a late fee, log in to the portal at www.logicutilities.com and raise a support ticket.
What is the capacity charge on my Mi Utilities bill?
The capacity charge covers the shared infrastructure of the district cooling plant serving your building. It is allocated across all units based on unit size and applies regardless of how much cooling you use. It is separate from your consumption-based cooling charge and is regulated under RSB guidelines.
What is the fuel surcharge on my bill?
The fuel surcharge is a variable charge that reflects the energy cost of providing your district cooling service. It is regulated under RSB guidelines and applies to all Mi Utilities customers. The surcharge fluctuates in line with energy market costs and is reviewed periodically. It is shown as a separate line item on your bill and VAT at 5% applies.
