Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to the most common questions about your Logic Utilities account, your bill, payment methods, and metering services below.
What is district cooling and how does it work?
District cooling is a centralised air conditioning system that produces chilled water at a central plant and distributes it through insulated pipes to connected buildings. Your unit receives chilled water through a heat exchanger, which cools the air in your apartment. It is more energy efficient and environmentally friendly than individual split AC units, using up to 50% less electricity. Mi Utilities manages the billing and metering for district cooling in your building — the building's facilities team manages the central plant itself.
How do I reduce my energy consumption and cooling bill?
Set your thermostat to 24°C — this is the recommended setting for district cooling buildings and can reduce consumption significantly. Keep windows and doors closed when cooling is on. Draw curtains or blinds during the hottest part of the day. Ensure your fan coil unit filter is clean. Avoid placing heat-generating appliances near your thermostat. District cooling uses up to 50% less electricity than individual split AC units, so you are already on the most efficient system available.
How do I report a maintenance issue to Mi Utilities?
Log in to the Mi Utilities portal at www.logicutilities.com, go to My Request → Meter Inspection Request, and submit your maintenance request with a description of the issue. Our technical team will review and respond within 24 hours. For urgent issues such as a complete cooling stoppage, contact us immediately via AI Chat at www.logicutilities.com or WhatsApp.
Why is my cooling weaker than usual?
Weaker cooling can be caused by a dirty or blocked filter, incorrect thermostat settings, a fault in your fan coil unit, or high demand across the building during peak summer months. Start by checking your thermostat is set correctly — we recommend 24°C for district cooling buildings. Clean or replace your filter if it has not been serviced recently. If the issue persists, log in to the portal and raise a meter inspection request under My Request → Meter Inspection Request.
How long does it take to restore my cooling after I pay?
Your cooling service will be restored within 24 hours of your payment being confirmed on our system. Portal payments are allocated automatically and typically confirmed within 1 business day. If your cooling is not restored within 24 hours of payment allocation, contact us via AI Chat at www.logicutilities.com or WhatsApp immediately and we will escalate to our technical team.
My cooling has stopped — what should I do?
First log in to the Mi Utilities portal at www.logicutilities.com and check your account balance. If you have an outstanding balance, pay it immediately and your cooling will be restored within 24 hours of payment confirmation. If your balance is zero, log in and go to My Request → Meter Inspection Request to report a no-cooling issue. Our technical team will investigate within 24 hours. If the issue is with the building's central plant rather than your meter, contact your building facilities team directly. Under RSB RD02, if you have been wrongfully disconnected, Mi Utilities must respond within 2 hours.
I am not receiving my OTP — what should I do?
First check your spam or junk folder if the OTP is sent by email. Make sure you are checking the correct email address or mobile number registered to your account. If the OTP still does not arrive, contact us via AI Chat at www.logicutilities.com or WhatsApp with your account number and we will verify your registered contact details.
What can I do on the Mi Utilities customer portal?
The Mi Utilities portal at www.logicutilities.com allows you to pay your bill, view your billing history and statements, submit and track support requests, upload payment proof, request a meter inspection, manage your cooling service status, submit a move-out request, update your account details, and download invoices and NOC documents.
